The Fujitsu FLD5F10NP Modulator Integrated DFB Laser has an electro-absorbtion modulator monolithically integrated with a conventional DFB. The modulation voltage is applied to the modulator section while the laser sectio operates CW allowing extremely low wave length chirping. The unit is installed in a butterfly type package. The module incoporates a highly stable optical coupling system. It includes an optical isolator, monitor photodiode, thermistor and TEC.
